The copyright of the design and contents of this website are owned by One North East or its licensors. All rights are reserved. All other intellectual property rights, including trade marks, shall remain with us or our licensors and nothing in this website should be taken as conferring any licence or right to use any trade mark displayed on our website without our prior written approval for any purpose. In particular, but without limitation, you may not use the One North East name in meta-tags or as a sponsored term in search engines.

1.2.1 Content
You may print off or download One North East content on this site as permitted under the fair dealing provisions of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended) (sections 28 to 30) for the purposes of viewing it on your computer, research for non-commercial purposes, private study, criticism, review and news reporting, provided that you do not alter it in any way and acknowledge us as the source of the content and the copyright owners.

The permissions to reproduce One North East material on this site does not extend to material which is identified as being the copyright or other intellectual property of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained directly from the third party concerned.

Except to the extent and in the circumstances expressly permitted by law, you may not rent, lease, sub-license, loan, copy, modify, adapt, merge, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works based on the whole or any part of the software used on this site nor may you use, reproduce or deal in the software in whole or in part in any way.
2 Content of this Site
We have made commercially reasonable efforts to check for viruses on our site. We have also endeavoured to ensure that the information on or available via this website is correct, not misleading and secure. However, it is possible that the information is out of date, incomplete, and inaccurate or has been tampered with by third parties and we give no warranties, express or implied as to its integrity, completeness or accuracy. We may make changes to the content of our site at any time without notice.
3 General use of our site
Use of this website is free and we take steps to ensure it is available 24 hours a day to all permitted users, and that it is accessible. We do not warrant that the site will be continuously available, or that your use of the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the site and server will be free from attack. It is impossible to provide an exhaustive list of exactly what constitutes acceptable and unacceptable use of this website. In general, we will not tolerate any use of our website which damages or is likely to damage our reputation, the availability or integrity of the website or which causes us or threatens to cause us to incur any legal, tax or regulatory liability.

We reserve the right to suspend the use of our site generally or block your access to any part of the site and/or to suspend or terminate your rights to use the site or any part of it if we suspect misuse. We shall then report any misuse of our site to the relevant enforcement or other authorities and to our advisers. We further reserve the right to disclose any evidence we have which relates directly or indirectly to misuse.

When you visit boomnortheast.co.uk or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on the website. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. 3.2 Defamation claims
Because boomnortheast.co.uk might include and host thousands of pages of content, links and comments; it is not possible for us to be aware of the contents of everything displayed. Accordingly, One North East operates on a "notice and takedown" basis. If you believe that any content on, or advertised for sale on, the website contains a defamatory statement, please notify us immediately. One North East will make all reasonable endeavours to remove the defamatory content complained about within a reasonable time.
3.3 Your consent
By using our website and agreeing these Terms & Conditions you consent to us collecting and using this information as stated above – including sharing with partners and affiliates as appropriate to fulfil the services that you require.
If we decide to change our Terms & Conditions or Privacy Code, we will make those changes public so that you are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it.
3.4 Our approach to your privacy
We are 100% committed to protecting your security and privacy and only use your information to improve the service that we provide. Our Privacy Code fully complies with the Data Protection Act and we will, within reason, ensure that your information is secure and monitored with regard to access, both internally and externally.
4 Registering for boom!
In order to provide you with relevant content, control circulation of services and related information, for usage analysis and to process any booking you may make through this website and to ensure that any event registration runs smoothly and meets your requirements, it is necessary to request the information provided in the registration forms.
One North East acting as the data controller, is responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us and that we in turn provide to our partners and affiliates is protected and secure.
One North East have partnered with Fawthrop McLanders Ltd for the design and build of the boomnortheast.co.uk site and to be the Data Processor of all information inputted into all booking or query forms on the boomnortheast.co.uk site. Fawthrop McLanders handle all data with care and in keeping with the Data Protection Act 1998.
4.1 Registration and booking for boom! North East Engineering Show
One North East and Fawthrop McLanders have entered into an agreement whereby Fawthrop McLanders shall process information in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The relevant information you have provided in this registration form will be passed on to or collected by Fawthrop McLanders to secure your event registration and management as is appropriate to your request. In processing such information, Fawthrop McLanders shall ensure that all suppliers to whom personal information is passed shall be made aware of the restrictions in using such personal information and shall only use the personal information to process any event registration and/or hotel reservation arrangements in strict accordance with instructions from One North East, for the sole purpose of providing event registration and/or hotel reservation services for the event. This also applies to any sensitive information you provide such as details of any disabilities or dietary or religious requirements. The information may also be provided to public authorities including (but not limited to) customs/immigration if required by them, or by law. Under no circumstances will any personal information be used for further marketing or advertising.
In the event that the destination is not within the European Economic Area (EEA), you should be aware that controls on data protection may not be as strong as those in the United Kingdom. Neither One North East nor Fawthrop McLanders will pass your information to any party who is not responsible for a part of your registration arrangements for the event.
Please be aware that if One North East and Fawthrop McLanders cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, your registration cannot be processed.
In order to perform and provide the services, suppliers may be required to pass personal information onto third parties. In such instances Fawthrop McLanders will approve such transfers on the condition that these third parties will adhere to the restrictions and obligations imposed on suppliers on the use of personal information.
4.2 School bookings
All group bookings must be made via the website or phone. You must have confirmation of your date and time slot prior to arriving at the show.
You must provide details of any special requirements for any of the young people attending the show.
All groups must be accompanied by a teacher or responsible adult. Please ensure adequate supervision, following minimum adult to pupil ratios set by your school or LEA (typically 1 adult per 15-20 pupils for trips involving year 7 onwards).
On arrival at the show you must register your arrival and provide an up to date group list. The group leader must be contactable at all times by mobile phone in case of an emergency and will be expected to have emergency contact information available for all members of their group.
All attendees will be issued with a badge and must wear this throughout the show and exhibition.
Group leaders accompanying the group are responsible for the discipline and behaviour of their group. However, we will meet our responsibilities regarding risk assessment and health & safety and emergency first aid will be available within the venue should it be needed. If you do have an emergency, you should inform a member of the event or venue staff who will be clearly identifiable on the day.
Group leaders are responsible for all damage caused by their action or the actions of those in their group.
Filming and photography
The event will be open to the media and we will have in-house filming and photography taking place. By booking your group into the show, all participants are deemed to have given their consent to be filmed and photographed. If any young people are unable to consent to this, you must notify us in advance.
If you change or cancel a school booking
Subject to availability, you may change a group booking to a different date or time slot or to increase or reduce numbers by notifying us in advance.
You must notify us of any cancellations at least 24hours in advance.
5 Liability
We exclude all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits or goodwill, loss of data, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with our site in any way or in connection with the use, inability to use or the results of use of our site, any websites linked to our site or the content of such websites, including but not limited to loss or damage due to viruses or other harmful programs that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of or browsing our site or your downloading of any material from our site or any websites linked to our site. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury due to our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

10 General
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable in whole or part, the other provisions of these terms and conditions and the remainder of the affected provisions shall continue to be valid. The failure to exercise or delay in exercising a right or remedy provided by these terms of use or by law does not constitute a waiver of other rights or remedies. These terms and the use of this website and its content shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of England, and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
